aiptasia-x + tariffs = Need new solution

Aiptasia-x is now $87 (on amazon, for 2.2oz). I'm assuming this is a tariff issue. All the suppliers are either out of stock or just as expensive.
So...what other anti-aiptasia product do you suggest? I do not like the real watery compounds, I'm looking for a thicker gunk that stays where I put it.
And I'm talking a chemical solution, not a biological one (fish/shrimp/nudibranch). But one that that's too caustic.

But i think the consensus seems that "F-Aiptasia" is more effective anyways?
And that one seems fine in terms of pricing.

Or what I would do if I were struggling with Aiptasia in droves, is just use Berghias.

Kalk paste works just as well if not better than the juice on the market IME
$12 for a lb

Use Kalkwasser paste, works great for killing aptasia and is super cheap.

As stated above just make a paste for kalkwasser (calcium hydroxide) and freshwater (RODI) and use it like aptasia-x.

I took care of a random two or three by sticking them with a syringe and needle (found at any pharmacy for less than 50 cents) filled with lemon juice. If you have more than a few aptasia, you may need other options.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the natural methods, such as predators like peppermint shrimp, Berghia nudibranchs, and even Copper Banded Buterfly fish, to name a few.

I have had very good success with Joe's Juice.

I can tell you something that hasn't worked. I've been using a 2M solution of NaOH since I saw my first aiptasia. It will kill off the one I squirted, but there will just be a dozen more in a week.

Yup - I have the same, nuking stuff on the frag tank is easy. For bigger tanks and hard to reach areas, my CBB & Kleine took care of all aiptasias in the DT. However, I saw 2 of them were growing in the sump though.

Ya my overflows and sumps have a quite a few but none in the displays. My pair of CBBs keep my big tank clear and peppermint shrimp do the work in my smaller tanks. My aiptasia always seemed to spread when I tried killing them with paste.

Me either but a few weeks back i was at my LFS looking for it and he told me the product had been discontinued. There's a variety of other options though.

They both work just fine.

OP I bought some pickling line aka kalk and am going to use a thick mixture of that moving forward. Much cheaper for those of us with berghia eating fish.

Or putting the cart before the horse and assume it is tariff related. It doesn't help though that on-line stores still list it as available but with a 'notify me when in-stock' button. Red Sea is also being a bit shady by selling it on Amazon for that price knowing A it can't be refunded and B it is discontinued.

Another wart in our hobby.
