@twilliard didn't you mention raising the temp real high? What's the risk in this method? I could remove rocks and place in a 10g to do this.

I just have rock, no coral to worry about. Can I place rock directly back in tank? Was thinking of using an empty 10g and adding on a heater, then use a net to remove. How does this sound?Yes 92 to 94 degrees.
What happens is they let go and float around like little blobs and then must be caught in either a filter sock or a net.
The risk is loosing sensitive coral.
Yup that would be perfect!I just have rock, no coral to worry about. Can I place rock directly back in tank? Was thinking of using an empty 10g and adding on a heater, then use a net to remove. How does this sound?
Mine came in on frags, sneaky little pest.I wish I lived closer to you, I'd gladly take the aipstasia off your hands. I'd like to experiment the benifits of a aipstasia scrubber. Yes I know it sounds insane, but with the proper sized UV sterilizer, contamination into the DT should be negligible.
I'm going to do this within the next few days. I'll let ya'll know how it goes and will try to do a video.Yup that would be perfect!
Put the heater on high
This works great! Started with a few small rocks and will do a video when I do the mother colony.Just remember they look like little blobs and nothing like an anemone oh and small
Mine keeps my eels den clean other than that nada. It's as if he's told them leave my area and I'll eat you, because I've never seen them elsewhere lolPeppermint shrimp.. the two i have cleaned my aiptasia problem in under 24 hours
I allow them in my overflows for just that reason. However, after losing my copperband (sold it when it ate my lps - worst move I made as it was very healthy for over 1.5yrs) I have more issues in main display. Curious if you could get them to grow in one area like algae.I wish I lived closer to you, I'd gladly take the aipstasia off your hands. I'd like to experiment the benifits of a aipstasia scrubber. Last few times I'm guessing by removed you put glue over? Curious3 days ago I used a syringe a diabetic gave me mixed up a lil kalkwasser in a tiny bit of hot ro water. Thick but not so thick I could t squeeze it out. Got tiny needle as close as I could and shot the kalk in there. It closed up on it. After about 30 min there is no trace so I glued over it. I have one pop up every now and again. Last time was on a small rock so I carefully put it in a cup under water and removed it.
