I am a big fan of Kalk paste for fighting aiptasia, which is indeed what you have... ;) I prefer to use a syringe and inject it straight into the little jerks...

That rock weighs about 60 pounds. Injection sounds so personnel. They do look kind of evil though.

So do not buy the shrimp?

I need to try that. I completely forgot about the kalk thing.

I think I gave someone my Mrs. Wages bag. dang.

The only bad thing about using it as a paste is that NOTHING will grow over that stuff. It's sterling white forever, isn't it?

Injecting it sounds like a great idea.

My stinking peppermints don't do anything. I think I feed too much. Useless little POSs.

edit: Randy...can you add santa hats to Jaws and Heff?

Melly~ Sure I will...

It doesn't stay white forever... It will usually break down shortly and be absorbed and used as a Ca source... :)

The thing with using the paste (which is the method I use, since I don't like shrimp) is that if you don't get all of them, they will just keep coming back. So chances are that you have a population in there that you don't see and those will continue to produce others. So with that in mind, you will be kalk pasting them constantly. that's my $0.02 worth.

I like injecting the paste. Seems like they think that food is coming, take it, close up and slowly melt away. I love that melting away part. :)

Some people use Joe's juice. I grow them in another tank and use them for treats for my copperband.

It will not hurt to put a few peppermint shrimp in there they love them. I had a few aptasia in a tank once and put in these shrimp and in a week or so I never seen another aptasia.
