I just transferred my fish from my 20 gallon hex to a 36g corner. Within 24 hours I noticed that an air bubble formed over the eye of one of my electric blue chromis. It does not appear it is something that he could rub off. I did some research and it looks similar to eye gas bubble disease but I could not find specific treatment options. Does anyone have any insight on how I can treat him?

Not of my fish specifically because he is too fast but here are some pics that look exactly like it. It is only over his left eye.

Above the eye, does not look like it covers it. It looks more like it comes out of the top back of the eye.

Yes, he appears to be acting normal in every aspect so far and maintaining his appetite. The only thing I could find as a possible cause is oxygen being supersaturated in the water. I use filtered well water.

Sorry. There is not much you can do for that condition. Sometimes it will go away on its own; but can end up with the fish losing the eye. Some have tried to use a needle to "pop" the bubble with very mixed results. It can be extremely painful for the fish and the risk of infection is high.

I live on property with a water well. Sometimes the pump down in the well begins to cavitate due to water level dropping in the well or when we have heavy rainfall. The water comes into the house looking like carbonated water. The only fix is to have a well pump company come out and lower the pump deeper into the well. I just run the water cycling from one of my mixing station tanks with the lid off for a few hours to allow the excess gases to vent off before actually mixing salt for water changes.

I'm sure you've already found this but just in case: https://www.advancedaquarist.com/2014/8/fish
