I moved my tank yesterday, and this morning I realized my carpet anemone has bubbles inside it causing some of it to float up towards the top of the tank like a ballon. Has anyone seen this before?

Have you tried gently helping it out? Rubber glove job for sure.

Never dealt with that in an anemone, but we had some moon jellies ingest air bubbles once. By flipping them upside down and gently jiggling them, we were able to maneuver the air bubbles to the mouth and out - but I don't know if that would work here. The other possibility might be to use a syringe to lance and extract the air ... but give the pros some time to chime in before proceeding!!

Update: The first post was around 11am MST. I had started moving my tank 24 hours prior and got the fish in around 11-midnight the night of the move after water was up to temp. The picture with the air inside was taken around 10-11 hours after the anemone had been in the tank. In retrospect, my anemone had air inside itself when I put it in the tank because it hadn't changed much from that point to when I took the first picture. I had had it in a rubbermaid bucket during the move with a heater. I had moved it about a year ago and this did not happen although the move was from one side of the room to the other. A few hours after I took the inflated picture, the anemone started releasing 1/4 pea sized bubbles every 10-60 seconds until it was all gone. After being in the tank 36 hours, the anemone now looks normal but not quite expanded to its normal size.

Pic after 36 hours:

-foot was established around 24hours post move. 36 hours post move and it's solid.

Glad it looks much better, I too have never seen that before and I also spend most of my time in the anemone forums over the years.
Don't judge too much by size, I find sometimes bigger just means they are expanding to create more surface area to pull in more light, often needing or wanting more, right now it's still just acclimating.
