Hi Randy, Hi Everyone,

I have an Avast Mutiny ozone reactor III set up with post carbon reactor MR16 and with a BRS Jumbo air dryer. My issue is overcoming the back pressure of the air dryer and the ozonizer and the reactors. I was running a Coralife Luft pump with adjustable PSI which lasted about two to three months before it died. Plus, I understand they are discontinuing the Luft pump. Also, I understand the Coralife SL65 does not have a long lifespan either. How did you overcome back pressure with those two large air dryers you have pictured in your second installment of ozone in Reefkeeping magazine? What is everyone using these days for air pumps? I'm currently trying a Danner AP-40 pond pump with the 12 outlet manifold that comes with it. I have an adjustable 6 outlet manifold on order as the open 12 outlet manifold is too weak. It's rated at 5.89 PSI but that's probably maximum and not operating PSI. My concern is that by creating back pressure on the air pump by reducing the outlets on the manifold, the pump will die sooner rather than later. Aquacave recommended the Alita 15 at 20 LPM but the operating PSI is only like 1.49 and Avast recommends a pump capable of at least 2 SCFH at 3 PSI. I have a Dwyer air meter 0.5-5 LPM and am waiting on a 0-15 PSI gauge. Just really confused on what the options are for workable air pumps at this point?

Thanks,
Gary

Okay, I'll see how far I get with the Danner AP-40 with the adjustable manifold when it comes in first. If that doesn't work, I'll try the Tetra.

Thanks Randy
