Hi guys,
So my tank is 35 days old cycled since last Sunday ammonia 0 finally yay!
However this algae seems to be quickly spreading and if it’s diatoms then yea that’s to be expected with new tanks after a cycle however I’ve been reading about dinos and worried it might be that? Sorry I’m super new to the hobby and overthink everything I have a notebook I write updates in every day !
I’ve been adding live bacteria daily to give the tank a boost as I don’t have live rock
Tank is a Red Sea max nano 75ltr (yes I know 20 gallon tanks are terrible for beginners but I couldn’t afford or have the space for bigger my house is tiny - we plan on moving in the next year or so and will get a bigger tank then all going well)
Thanks in advance

It’s great that you journal and keep updates going! With a dry rock start you will likely see many more nuisance algae cycle in your tank throughout the first year. From the pics, it looks like you have diatoms which are very common at first and eventually will starve and phase out on their own. Now’s a good time to start slowly adding in CUC and maybe some easy coral from an established tank, that’ll begin to add some more diversity into your system and eventually will help to compete with nuisances. A nano will be tricky for a beginner but if you keep consistent, test your parameters and maintain your water quality then you’ll be a solid reefer in no time!
