I'm on 2.3.26 because the Android version of 2.5.9 has an install error, so I don't know if it has changed in the new version, but here's how I add a light to the app.I’m using version 2.5.9 I attached a screenshot of the my section, no option for timezone whatsoever, I actually do have a dedicated 2.4ghz SSID, as in that it is a separated network with 2.4ghz only. So that shouldn’t be the problem. I tested both lights multiple times, reinstalling apps, tried on different devices, reset the modem, turning phone on and off. It just really don’t want to connect. What I do is connect to the light wifi, open the app, then I get the direct connect prompt, go there, update the time, go back to menu, and push the + after that selecting my 2.4ghz network, enter the password(only numbers/letters, it’s awful long tho, it has capital letters, is that a special character maybe? ) than it will try to connect for a while and than a message that is can’t connect. I have a kamoer doser and redsea ato on the same network which works fine.
- Delete the light from the app if it's still there but disconnected.
- Hold the middle button on the light for several seconds until it shuts off and restarts, cycling through all the colors. This puts it into pairing mode.
- Tap the + button in the app. App will prompt to connect to light wifi.
- Connect to light wifi and go back to app.
- Select your 2.4g SSID if it is not automatically detected, and enter the password (upper and lower case letters are fine). Make sure it's the correct password for that SSID if you're using different passwords.
- Light will connect and prompt you to switch your phone back to your home wifi network.
- Once you're back on home wifi you can tap on the light in the app and change settings.
