I want to share my new built with you, foremost as a way to keep track of my new built and second to here the thoughts of my fellow reefers.
At the moment I’m waiting for delivery of my nyos opus 300 slim. The reason I choose this aquarium is:
-made in Germany/ build quality
-external overflow (unique in Europe/Nl)
-size, it fits perfectly in a corner of my room, against a chimney.
The tank will be placed on the second floor of my appartement/penthouse. The room is attached to a roof terrace, kind of convenient as I have access to water and a sink there, but don’t want to go larger to keep things as easy as possible. R/o reservoir is stored outside on the terrace and this is where I make my r/o aswell.
I already have all the equipment I need to start my new tank;
Radion Xr15 g6 pro
Aqua knight v2 x2
Ai blade grow 30 inch
Jebao return pump DEP 3500
Jebao dmp 30
Vortech mp10
Jebao sow 8
Redsea ATO
Inkbird controller with schego 300w titanium heater
Kamoer peristaltic pump for kalk
Octo 110sss skimmer
Custom London aquatic design polycarbonate lid
Extruded aluminium light mount, Alux
Nothing fancy, but I’m planning on upgrading along the way. Especially my lights are a bit of a mess, might go all AI blade or 2x xr15 and blades.
My aquascape is already finished, it is made of Marco foundations and aqua holland rock(nice open shaped rock, light and cheap) please let me know if you have any comments on my scape.
The largest part of the structure is already cycling for 1,5 month and I will add indo live rock in the sump from my current tank. Custom 25g
Livestock
Fish
Current
-royal gramma
-bicolor blenny
-clown pair
Planned
-springeri damsels
-YWG
-white tail bristletooth
-flame hawkfish
-flame angelfish
-wrasse, eightlined or yellow Coris

, but looked on the internet and it seems to be the same with all of them. This looks to be a new version with the nozzle positioned in the middle of the overflow box. The cabinet is really nice and sturdy as well. Looks and feels really premium. All in all a steal for the 1400 I’ve paid. Can’t think of something I bought that is this much value for money. Most of the equipment is ready to go and been busy doing the wiring. I choose to use plastic cable ducts from
