i don't use AFR but my Alk dosing tube (2 part) used to get clogged and i just cut a diagonal piece on the end of the tube and this solved the problem

Ya doesn't work with AFR. I did it and it still plugs but takes a little longer yo plug because it starts crusting at the tip and works its way up.

It still forms a drop a crusts up with the angle cut. I'll just keep up the thumb index finger thing for now.

I have been using AFR for a couple of years now with the lines above the waterline with out issues. Every once in a while while I'm in the sump area working I may disconnect the dosing line and push air through and have not noticed blockage.

I see it from time to time with my ESV Transition Element line but not AFR.
