I went to the grocery store yesterday. There was a woman blocking the door with her cart. She was wiping down the handle and some other parts. Whatever, I guess some people do that. I was patient. Then she walked around to the front of the cart and pulled it in with her elbow. It cracked me up because it looked so weird. So a few minutes later I saw her in an aisle. I did this horrible sounding fake cough and started walking toward her. She scurried away...lol.

Maybe I watch too much Impractical Jokers?

More than 140,000 world wide died of the measels, heck, even more people died in the US slipping in the tub than the corona virus has caused. The whole corona virus things is overblown. Is it serious, yes, if you are sick, stay home, if it is bad, see a doctor. No reason for the panic and how crazy the stock market has been. I cringe when I see the thousands I have lost on paper in the last week.

There have been cases of it spreading locally without any droplet contact. This means it could potentially be airborne.
That, coupled with the fact that it has a 10x higher mortality rate than the seasonal flu....

Its a little frightening.....

It's all speculation regarding the potential. (Which is the same thing that drives the stock market.)

The CDC is always going to project worst case scenario to cover themselves. And then when that doesn't happen they will proclaim, "Look, we saved you!" The news media is all too happy to run with a sensational story to boost ratings/viewership.

My old boss used to wipe down the shopping cart handle. He also pointed out that dirty babies with diapers may sit in the little shelf, that's what it's designed for....just remember that when you put your lettuce there;Jawdrop.

Yep. I'm an avid grocery store wipe user for those carts....

The only time they EVER get cleaned is when it rains and only god knows they need more than his tears!

No. Dad got it first and gave it to Mom. She has hospice 2x a week and Dad is in heart failure. He's decided not to take his meds. All because of the flu Dec. 18.

I'm so, so sorry to hear that. :( I can't even imagine what you're feeling right now. My dad has emphysema, lung lobes have been removed, so I know flu would probably be the end of him. My parents do get the flu shot every year, however.
