I have started cycling my 24g nano cube (dry rocks+live sand) a week back. Ghost feeding fish food pallets from day 2. On day 6, both ammonia and nitrite measured at 0.25 and nitrate at 0. In have added Dr Tim’s one and only on day 6. Should I add dead shrimp or the ghost feeling will do?

You needed to use only Dr. Tim's Ammonium Chloride, from day 1, any other way, you can't control amount of ammonia. It my take longer to cycle. And you need a test kit that does NH3 ammonia. Seachem has one, some others too. With dry rock , cycle may take longer, especially if rock isn't seeded. Patience now.

I have a test kit already and have tested as i have mentioned. My LFS said ghost feeding should be enough and try to avoid chemicals like bottled ammonia. So wanted an opinion.
