the pair spawn with the larger Gigantea. they have a nest with behind this anemone and laying almost every 14 days, on a tile I put thereNice that you give her a species option depending on her mood. lol
Where does she spend more time?
I am fooling around with camera's. I am not happy... This is the best I can get for now. 1080HD.
Let hope we win the lottery one day.
Gigantea Anemone. Be aware. It's beautiful but wanders itself into a path of death and decay.
Both Haddoni and Gigantea can have shorter or longer tentacles. You should look at the underside. If it has mutliple rows of “claws” its a Gigantea. That is not a Gigantea, but a Haddoni. If you give it a sand bed, it will be happy and settle down. If it unable to find sand, it will continue to wander.
In my picture of my two purple anemones below, the long tentacles anemone is Gigantea while the short tentacle anemone is a Haddoni (which is what you have)

@World Citizen
Your video shows the column of your anemone. I keep Haddoni for 45 years and Gigantea for 15 years, so I had plenty of experiences. IME, your anemone is 100% Haddoni.
But, peace, whatever you want to call your anemone in your tank is fine. Gigantea in your mind is defiantly fine with me.
That is actually a very good video. Very clear with great detail. Color looks spot on too. Editing is nice as well. Well done! Thanks for sharing it. That is a very nice looking and healthy carpet.
I do have to agree with OrionN that your green is a Haddoni. The verrucae, aka "claws" as you called them, would be blue or purple if it were a gigantea. Verrucae on Haddoni are the same color as the column tissue. Tentacle length is also a tell tale sign. I've never seen a Gigantea with tentacles that short, stubby, and compact that was as healthy yours. Hybrids can have tentacle length in between Haddoni and Gigantea.

Both are beautiful specimens and picture perfect in terms of color and health! Very nice!If it is a Haddoni I am fine :) ... so I rather figure it out together.
Problem is it differs from my red one. The red on (sold as haddoni) has only a few verrucae. The green one (sold as Gigantea) has the multiple rows of verrucae.
So one of them is not correct if we call them both Haddoni.
Later today I wil make clear pictures of its underside. Ill post them here, but maybe these pics will help?
I am happy with your feedback.

The big red is definitely a Haddoni. No question there.
I do see what appears to be blue/purple verrucae on the green's upper column in these pics. I can see the confusion this could cause. All other outward appearances indicate Haddoni though. Perplexing. Maybe it's a hybrid?
I had green Haddoni with light verrucae before. He was on the sand and has longer tentacles. I don’t know how closely related Haddoni and Gigantea are. It is possible that there is a few that has genetic material of both species.
IME, Haddoni also has Verrucae but the coloration of Haddoni verrucae are very similar to the column. In addition to prominent bright color verrucae, Gigantea also has pastel color foot that are green, blue purple or orange.
Haddoni’s mouth has a lipstick of color, darker than the oral plate while Gigantea’s mouth normally has the same tan color as the rest of the oral plate.
My Gigantea’s mouth
Very nice LTAMy LTA, Wadsworth! My clowns haven’t quite figured out if they’re interested in hosting just yet but fingers crossed!
