Anemones id?

Both anemones appear to be Malu based on tentacle length and spacing. More/better pictures could change my opinion but I doubt it. The first one is gorgeous, and the colors are all very healthy. The yellow one is almost definitely bleached and dyed, unfortunately. If it survives, it will likely end up much less attractive than the first one.

Thank you for your help! I hope the first one is a malu as well since a crispa will get a bit too big. Regarding the second one, annoying that dyed anemones still exist.

So i got the anemones today. The 1st one was way more brown than i thought it would be in daylight. Hopefully it will look better in the tank. Looks healthy otherwise. I think its a malu but im not sure, looks like it on the tentacles placement and the underside of it is yellowish. I have never seen a crispa with that colour on the underside. The tentacles are kind of long though, which made me unsure. I also noticed the tentacles moving on their own while flow was off. I have only seen mags do that, or maybe they all do?
The yellow one i accidentally dropped in the bag, super annoying. But i think its ok, it did shrink to a tiny size tho. Not sure if its dyed or not, it does not look as yellow in person. It does seem rather healthy though, it started moving once i put it in the sand (maybe burrowing?).
I put them pretty close to each other. Should i be worried about these touching each other or not?

So i was starting to get frustrated when both nems didnt attatch for 4 hours. Last time i had a malu just would not attatch. I turned on the lights on a lower level before i left home for a few hours. Seemed like They both reacted to the light and i came home to both looking almost attatched and my male clown hostning the larger one!

Getting slightly frustrated again.. I thought the larger anemone looked like it was digging but it didnt attatch. Do you think it could be a crispa and needs a rock to attatch to? The tentacles look so long and slender for a malu in my eyes. Maybe im wrong. My clowns are quite rough with it. Dont know if thats a problem or not.

Anemones need something to attach to before they can dig into the sand. Give home a rock to attach to first.

I've been watching this thread for a bit, trying to make up my mind... I don't think the anemone in the first picture is the one you received. The tentacles are considerably longer, which could be attributed to stress during the first photo, but also, the anemone you received seems to be completely lacking the green center coloration. The two colors (green center and brown outer) is very common for H. Malu, but I don't think I've ever seen it on a H. Crispa. These were both major factors in my original ID, and they are both missing in the anemone you received.
Photos don't always paint a full picture, so I could be missing something. But that's my two cents. The one you received does look like a H. Crispa, and it has since you got it. But I'm not convinced it's the same anemone from the first picture.
Regardless, they look to be doing well, and I'm hopeful that they will continue to do well for you. :)

I think you might be right. I do see very little green if i view it top down, but its very slight. Can be seen in this picture. But in their picture its very clear. Also the dots on the tips on the tentacles are clear in their picture, i dont think i see any on mine. If its the same anemone they really made magic with their photo.

My concern is regarding the yellow nem. How is it doing? Typically dyed anemones start as completely bleached, and I think the dye itself may play a role in inhibiting the zoox form re-populating.

Yeah i like it anyway, but crispa will get too large so i will probably not keep it honestly. I have already contacted the seller. I found this one and ordered it. Looks kind of similar but the photo is so blue so its hard to tell. Looks like a malu to me though.Well, whether Malu or Crispa, it looks very healthy. That alone is a great accomplishment.

I dont think its a malu honestly and i dont think its dyed. The tentacles almost look like mini bubble tips, but its in the sand so its not a bta. The column is orange and the the tentacles light yellow. If you look closely you see the edge tentacles are more white. Anyone have any idea what it is? It seems healthy to me. Mouth shut, never deflated or shows any stress. Stays in the sand. The clowns have been in it briefly.
The seller has one more for sale that looks just like it but its green.

So i just got another anemone i ordered from the seller. Kind of looks like the one i ordered in the first place. Not sure though. The tentacles are thicker and i see rings on them. Looks like a malu to me. Do you agree?

The left one is new, correct? I would let it settle in before deciding, but the rings are a great sign. FYI, the right one is also starting to look like a Malu again, very very interesting.

Yup thats correct. Sorry about the bad blue photo. Here are better ones. Im 90% sure this it the anemone they should have sent me in the first order, especially when i see it from the top. Kind of hard to capture with the camera but the colors match the one in the first order. I did contact them but they were sure to have sent me the right one. A bit annoying but im happy now that i still got the one i wanted.
I actually like the other one as well, it has a nice purple color and a yellow underside. Do malus get along if they touch?
