I'll pm youPics?
Two died when I tried scraping. Two let go as I was able to pry them off and get them into a predator tank. Before the thread, I had already given 8 away that were attached to the back glass. After starting with just one anemone, I only have 8 more to get rid of. (That was 20 if you were counting!) They are embedded so deep into rock with holes in it, that I just don't have any other ideas. I'm in a holding pattern until one pops up somewhere else, but they don't seem to be moving. If I completely disassemble, how long does the hanging over water thing take? When they're shredded, do they die or just look bad?
Per the original post, I was able to get the largest 2 RBA's off my rock today. I removed a massive fused arch that they were stuck on and held it upside down over a bucket. I tried ice, but that didn't work. I just waited maybe 10 minutes and gravity took effect. They drooped super long. I used my nail and got the feet up just a bit, then took feeding tongs and basically pried the anemone off from under the portion of foot I had pulled loose.
The two small ones sucked completely into the rock, so I gave up.
The sad news is that a beautiful acan is really banged up and 2 frags of nice cyphastrea are dead. Stupid anemones.
Sounds like a hungry nemAre they still bubble tipped? My nems are stringy.
