angry zoas??

Hello, i recently purchased 3 zoa frags and noticed that 2 of them had bubble algae. i decided to pluck off the bubble algae outside of the tank (without popping it) but then after reading about bubble algae i learned that if it was already there it will come back if i didn’t completely eliminate its root source. i panicked and ended up making a 50/50 solution of hydrogen peroxide with tank water and directly applied it on to the base with a syringe. I left my zoas out for a couple minutes to let them develop a slime film because of my paranoia in harming them. The thing is when i applied the solution a lot of the polyps turned white and their tips formed thick bubbles. Did i just kill my zoas or are they just extremely mad/stressed? here are some pics

They will be fine. Rinse thoroughly in saltwater and place them in the tank. They may take a day to perk up but should be fine.

yeah did the same to mine when they got taken over by GHA they were close up for a couple days if you do the same to things like organ pipe though you might lose a polyp or two as i did when i dipped mine.

here is a 10 hour update for those interested. the polyps have gained the courage to open back up slowly and the bubbles have now moved from the tip down towards the stalk! anyone know exactly what these bubbles they produce are?

Can you take the frag out and see if they come off? Looks like a flatworm maybe?

they don’t come off, i tried to puncture them after they were formed but they’re very thick so i refrained from forcing it. the bubbles werent there until i sprayed them with the hydrogen peroxide solution i mentioned earlier! there is nothing visible inside the bubbles. i’m thinking it was just a defense mechanism somehow?
