I have 5 clams in my tank, two derasas and 3 croceas. At the last swap I picked up a small 2" crocea for $25. Nice color, great find. I put it next to a bigger crocea, and go figure it tipped over on its side and attached to the shell of the bigger clam. I would really like to move it to a different spot in the tank but I am not about to damage its foot by trying to pry it off the bigger clam. I doubt it is going to let go of it anytime soon. I could try moving it to a spot where it might be uncomfortable but I really dont feel like messing with it. :squigglemouth:

I would slice the foot by sliding blade down shell of other crocea. I regularly have 15-20 clams in my frag tank and they attach to each other all the time.

I shave below the foot off with a scapel, trying not to damage the foot at the same time. Even if you cut the foot it will be fine as long as it doesn't get an infection.
I have cut the foot before without a problem, I just try not to.

Would some iodine or anything like that help with infection?

The infection is only if it got one, I would assume that a small amount might help prevent one if you dipped it for a couple seconds after you cut it - just the foot though.
I don't really know since I haven't tried it though.
