So I have all the sooo plies. I am using H2O2 as a disinfectant. Mainly because at work we order it in the gallons for cleaning glass and crap so it's what I have. My question is, would it be foolish to use salt water from my mix bucket I use for my tank? I mean it's clean enough but is it clean enough? Should I go get me a bucket and another powerhead and just mix salt in that or throw caution and money to the wind and use the mix bucket supply?

The only downside to using your tank bucket mix is you typically want to run Phyto salinity lower than you run your tank salinity.

Ya, for sure you can, but like @tbrown mentioned, dilute it a bit with ro to proper salinity. The one thing i have also heard really helps is to microwave it first to sterilize it and let it cool back down before use.

I'm culturing nano and tetra strains and have been for a couple of months now. I use the poseidon set up with new bags each time (I buy bags cheaper elsewhere) . I've been using my tank saltwater mix at 1.026 and have had no issues with getting excellent growth each week.
