Yes like the title says it. Another Reef Pi. Let start with

Background
I am training in Biology then decided it wasn't for me and now I am currently an Engineering student and looking to major in Aerospace Engineering. I am certified in Solidworks and I am a novice in Autocad and I am doodling in fusion360. Hopefully this will allow me to 3D print all my components cases, mounting hardware, probe holders. There is a lot of cool designs out there I can use.

Usage
  • Equipment controller
  • Temperature Controller
  • Autotop off
  • Auto Water Change
  • Ph monitor
  • Doser
  • Remote Access
Other Applications
  • Once proficient in making these controllers I plan on using Reef Pi to make a Overland Light set up for my Jeep. So I can use it as a lighting controller but will also add physical switch as a by pass in case app ever decides to take a dump on me. Lucky I think it will be easy as my Jeep has a router on board thanks to AT&T trying to sell hotspot. Hopefully it will work. This will also give me access to my aquarium when ever I go campling/hunting I will still be able to monitor my aquarium

So far I have built the equipment controller and soldered for temperature and auto top off. I learn quiet a lot in how Raspberry Pi works.
I am still looking to see if I can add a Ph probe to this set up.

This is a Fusion 360 design I can up with for the controller to keep it compact. It’s 110mm squared. Still need to incorporate Ph probe but I am seeing how I can fit it into the Pronto Hat
If anybody know will this circuit work but concern with the 5v power line. Not sure if this will work.

Circuit picture:
Red- 5v+
Black Circle Pins
Black Line: GRD
Yellow: SDA
Green: SCL
Blue: 437k resistor

Is there anything in this circuit that doesn’t look good? I am trying to emulate this Circuit by @Ranjib from https://learn.adafruit.com/reef-pi-guide-7-ph-monitoring/circuit-construction.
want to do it all on the same Pi hat to keep the controller compact.

Test my layout and tolerances.
Looks good probably will shave off a bit on the right side it was a bit tight.
Had a bit of stringing but it’s normal for PETG. Can’t seem to fully get rid of it.

@Ranjib I do have a question for the circuit board, is this layout okay? I know the Ph monitor is a stand alone is it possible to add the Ph to this Pi hat so I can keep everything compact? I knew I should of paid more attention in clas

It took 9 hours for printing and my stringing sucked but she is down printing had to do some work on the case. But I still need a lot of post work on the case on the outside. Probably paint it to smooth it out and make it sleek.

I had to heated the wall with a torch so I can fit the micro sd card since I miscalculated the distance I needed. I need to revise the design to add another 5mm to adjust for the Micro SD. I accounted for it but I made the tolerances too small.

Here are different angles of the case. I still need to add the auto top off and Ph probe. But I am a bit stuck on the Ph probe. Not sure which to choose. I may need advice on this and post on the main Reef Pi thread. I also need to reinforce the connector wall since it is a bit fragile so I make it double the thickness. I also removed the plastic height adjusters. M3 screws were a lot better to help support the pi hat.

Looking at these pictures I am thinking the Ph probe will need to have more space. Ill know when I get it. If anything I will need to put the Ph probe first then add the DB9 connector.

I am worried that it has 5 error messaged, but might be because I am missing some sensors
