Anthias disease??

I recently got some anthias from my lfs and I did not notice this in the store when purchasing them but a few days after I noticed a small white bump on one of the fins of the fish and I chalked it up to some aggression I have a coral beauty that wasn’t to thrilled to have some new tank mates but from my observations the aggression has calmed down but in the last 24 hrs the bump has gotten a lot bigger and it appears to be some fin rot. I have not experienced anything like this in my 6 years in the hobby I am not 100% sure what it could be and the treatment I need to take. I really would like some advice on what I need to do to heal this fish.

Here are some pics I could get, fish is not using its fin at all. She is still eating like crazy and very active. Thank you

This looks like an injury which has become infected and best treatment is in a separate tank using seachem neoplex and add an air stone while treating
Fish looks a little thin. What foods are you offering?

I am feeding LRS Reef Frenzy and supplementing with new life spectrum pellets on a auto feeder, she hid in the rocks for about a week straight only really poking her head out to see what’s going on. She is now free swimming and visibly eating at each feeding I am able to watch. I REALLY appreciate the help with this.

I should’ve asked how long do I keep separated and medicated? Or am I looking for visible signs of improvement… not really sure about quarantine practices since I usually bite the bullet and pay extra for my LFS to hold and quarantine for me…

It takes roughly 10 days to clear up but assure its fully healed before stopping treatment
For foods, add plankton, mysis shrimp, LRS fish Frenzy and brine shrimp

Once healed, you can quarantine it or give it a 60 minute Ruby rally pro bath

Yes, I don’t know if it’s a fluke or what I have bought many fish from them before I have not experienced this before.

I would let it be healed for a week or so - if no issues with the fish in the hospital tank. Then acclimate it. I may have missed it - what other fish are in the display tank>?

2 clowns, fox face, coral beauty, leopard wrasse and a powder brown. The coral beauty is the only fish that I have witnessed chase down fish when introducing to the tank…

Thats kind of typical - when I have had them. Though the tangs may also be playing a role. I asked because if you had had multiple anthias they can whittle down a group with attacks fairly quickly.

That is a quick death - it could be the anthias fighting - but several hours suggests neither a disease nor aggression (its so quick) - it could be a problem with acclimation
