Basically the title. Ill be removing a rock from my 25 gallon to make some room for coral. The rock is around 1/3 of all the rock in the tank. Wondering if there will be any issues with the sandbed being stirred up a bit, or issues with not enough bacteria. I can add biomedia in the back. Ill be adding new sand over where the rock is removed. Ask any questions, and thanks for taking the time to help!

Is this an AIO setup or does it have a sump?

This is what i would do..
If its an AIO - only whats in the main display house your bacteria, id add the sand first for a week or so to let it spread before removing the rock.

if it has a sump, which should have bacteria to compensate that 1/3 of the rock you will be removing.

OC you can also add bacteria in a bottle.

It is an AIO. again, i have room for a pretty large block of ceramic biomedia in the back middle chamber. Coral arrive thursday, so i need to know if it will be ok to take the rock out, maybe just chunk it in half to give ample space on the sandbed for an indophyllia, then add the block of biomedia in the back.
