I am near upgrade on my lighting system. To be honest, I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the selection...

Here's where my head is at currently:

Tank:
90 gallon mixed reef; 48" w x 24" deep
I have a mix of LPS, SPS and soft coral.
Current lighting is a Fluval marine and reef led 2.0 (48-60")

Thoughts:
I think I'll stick with LED
$1,000 max price point
I'd like something that looks good aesthetically as well as functional
Programable settings are important; wifi control just a nice to have

Shortlist:
Maxspect Razor X
I'm between the 200 and 300 models... Not sure if 300 is overkill? I don't want to get the 200 and then realize I need more but the 300 is pretty much the same length as my tank. I get conflicting ratings for the 200 on BRS and other sites

Kessel AP700
Seems like a good option and people that have it say they like it, but I'm not sure if I'd need additional lighting as it seems kind of small.

Any thoughts or experiences would help!

Thanks

2 months in and loving my 2nd maxspect razor. This one is the X.

Recommend getting the ICV6 to go with it for $45. Gives more options and wireless control for the light and gyres.

Corals have been in a month and my mystic sunset monti is already growing.

Feel free to ask questions!

Tank is 59”

I believe the light is 48”, legs reach out to 60”

I have added some SPS last weekend. Polyp ext and color is great so far.

Using a seneye I have full spectrum and par where I want it at 70% power all channels.

Here was my IM30L with the Prior razor model.

Very underrated lights IMO.

I did a simple write up on the R5X RS-150. It is the one with 3 pucks instead of 4 like the R5-200 but you’ll get the idea.

https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/maxspect-rsx-first-impression.345264/

Here’s how it was on my 29 gallon.

Now in the process of upgrading to a 40 breeder with a sump. So here’s where it looks on a 36” tank(right side). My R420R is put back on the 29 gallon(left side).

What the weight on these? Im concerned about added stress for a rimless setup. Thanks

Looks fantastic and a lot of pop! Thinking about getting one. Is this the xr5? That si whats currently out? are you still using it? What are tour setting in this video if you dont mind me asking? is the light a solid black or more of a grey/charcoal color?
