I admittedly didn't spend much time yesterday looking at the tank so this must have happened in the last 36 hours. I see probably 20 of these spread over the rock.

They are white and circular. They appear only slightly raised.

My wife says they look like spider egg sacs and I think she is right. That's how they look.

Looks like snail eggs u have any snails?

Do you have any nerite snails? Mine plaster my rocks, glass, even my clam with egg sacs

Yeah I have about 6 nerites and 6 ceriths. 2 Astraea turbos and maybe 5 nessarius. 4 hermits and 2 emeralds. That's the extent of my CUC.

Those would be nerite eggs then. The turbos are broadcast spawners and the other two snails leave lines of eggs.

I just googled "nerite snail eggs" and those look more like sesame seeds. These are bigger so I am not sure. I will keep an eye on them. If they are nerite eggs, what can I expect?

They will just dissappear. They hatch into tiny larvae that will most likely be eaten. Could it be a white ball sponge? If they continue to get larger then I would say it is a sponge.

Definitely Nerite Snail eggs & they won't hatch. Be glad their on your rock where their less conspicuous. Unlike on the glass where they stand out big time-lol. Buggers to scrape off! :)

Hmm mine hatch, I wonder what I do different? You can see the larvea leave through a hole in the sac. Then a few days later the whole thing falls off. None make it through metamorphosis though. I agree its a pita when they plaster the front of the glass.

Thanks for the help!

As far as my CUC, do y'all think I need more snails? My display area is about 32g. And about 6g in the sump area. It's a 38g IM all in one.
