Any idea what this is?

Hi all,

Was having a little look at my live rock and noticed this small red thing coming out of a tiny hole in my live rock.. Every time I go near it it shoots back into the hole.. Any ideas as to what it could be?

Looks to be a red tube worm based on what I can see in the vid and pics. Harmless filter feeder. Been known to be wrong though. Lol. Anyone else have an idea?

Had a look on youtube and I think you may be right! If it is a red tube worm what do they actually do? Lol.. And are the harmful to the fish or aquarium in general?

Not harmfull in any way. They're calcium bodies with the little "feather duster" inside. Just a filter feeder that picks up extra nutrience in the water. Pretty common
