I purchased some pitho crabs a few weeks ago, and they’ve done everything but eat the algae I got them for. One in particular has taken to wearing zoanthids as a hat. It started with my Halle berry zoas

It ditched those, and now is walking around with my Great Owl that had just started forming a new polyp finally, before becoming high fashion.

I also got a frilly arrow crab for some bristleworm control, and it’s done nothing but wave around in a Kenya tree for 10 days until I sold it, then went into my splatter hammer for a bit, before moving to my blueberry stylo. Not a single bristleworm has been consumed by it as far as I’m aware.

My urchin would do some "renovation" of my tank. I would always find corals in different spots because of him.

The largest of my hermit crabs is on a daily mission to throw down one specific acropora frag from wherever I place it.

I don't want to glue it to the rocks yet, as I'm planning to restructure my aquascape sooner or later, but EVERY SINGLE DAY I have to save this specific frag from somewhere and "coincidentally" this hermit is sitting where the frag has been placed before.

If the hermit keeps doing this the frag will die from getting stung by other corals. It already lost some color and tissue at the tips. I have never been more annoyed by an animal. The freaking frogs croaking all night in my pond are less annoying than this hermit.

Yeah the arrow crab thing's just a gamble. Mine ended up being more of an ornament lol
Mine ended up being eaten (at least the algae draping off of it) by my starry blenny and is no more. He really is an *******. Even took a shot at one of my pitho crabs.
