Okay, so I made a stand. I used my dads workshop, he is a serious woodworker. It came out pretty well I think. Here it is.

It started as just a plan I drew.

What is crazy is the sides and top and bottom out of MDF. I used this paint that makes it looks like wood. It came out decent.

The middle support in the front is only attached with one screw, and can be removed easily to place a tank.

Now I get all this crap to install. I need to go to petco and buy a ten gallon tank and build a sump/refugium.

Amazing Jeffery!!! Hoping to make one soon. We really need a new one.

Thank you Kevin. I counted today, 33 pieces total. For the first time I shot a waterborne lacquer, great build with 3 coats. The hardest part was the finish shot so clear, I could not see it going on and had to use the reflection of the light to judge the over lapping.

Jeffrey...There was no need to put the linens on as I'll just have to take them off when I drive up to pick it up.:)

That turned out fantastic my friend.

Bring a large truck;).

You will like this finish. Dries in 15 minutes for coats and hardens in hour. Lays down better then the brand sold in the big box improvement stores and clean is with water.

Been awhile since I posted. Thought I'd post this little peice I've been working on for awhile. Made of spalted pecan. I was thinking about doing some inlay with turquoise, but decided I liked the worm holes better. Went as thin as I was comfortable with.

Nice I haven't turned anything in a long time. The spalting is caused by fungi which is another love of mine, Xylaria polymorpha being probably the best one, for spalting wood it makes black lines. I can get cultures on agar from a fellow mycologist.

That one had to be a hard one to do without a blow out
