LOL, I knew I could wake up the master woodworker

The only thing I've mastered when it comes to woodworking is admiring your work my friend.

Of course! Do you have any plans for a simple barn door? I want to make one for a closet.
I can draw something up for you with simple joinery. You will have to find some 1 3/8 stock finished. 6/4 raw. You can get away with 5/4 if you are looking for that ruff finish

That would be amazing! Just a note I don’t have a crazy tool collection but I can borrow certain things. Thank you Jeffery!

Actually just finished my first piece of furniture, a nightstand for the bedroom. It went pretty well and good enough to keep going with the set. One pic of before I put the back on but better light and one in the room.

Tomorrow 2/14/19 cutting the hinges in and painting

Now that is a specialty even many very experienced pro's have a hard time figuring how to do perfectly!
Nicely done, impressed w/ skills and toys, as well as outcome.

I wish I had a shop like this, all my stuff has to fit in my truck as I usually build on site.

But someday...

Thanks, that's what I was going for. I can't wait to get topcoat on it, the hickory will really pop then.

I like the knotty grain now, I cannot wait to see the top coat.

can you guys please give me a suggestion for the top trim for my stand.

i am planning to put some wood flooring on top of it as the "table top" - but i dont know what trim to use for the edge. (front side of the tank.).

some sort of molding? anything. What do you think will look good?

Yes a mouldings will work. Just try to match the wood types.
