How’d it get there? This rock came out of my mom’s tank and she doesn’t have nothing like that. Is it good for the tank?Maybe a small mushroom coral, but I think this is likely a very brightly colored ball anemone (which is also technically a mushroom coral) because I can see what looks like tentacles around the edges. These dont really spread around like aptasia and they have a very weak sting. I would keep it, its very cool!

I would wager your mother's tank likely did have them; they were probably just out-of-view or hidden.No clue where it could have come from, thats sometimes the case in this hobby

Its got nice colors and makes for a unique addition to the the tank imo. Not harmful.
