Anyone "solid vodka dosing" or using biopellets?

I am going to try this once Warner Marine gets more for sale......I was told June 14th I think it will be out to the masses.....I am now just waiting my time and doing the reading.....I like the solid idea better then adding vodka.....

I am using the np biopellets on my main DT and have noticed less frequent need to clean my glass but not much else. I am only a month in though. I did get the WM pellets also but am running them on a new small system so its hard to judge.

I am using a Avast(grey seas) DIY kit reactor.....Great product. I have the pellets going through a pretty good tumble no channeling going on all pellets are under movement.

How many ml of pellets are you running in there?

I have 500ml as advised by Jon......It could easily hold 1000ml with room at the top....

I am just using a phosban reactor. I did start to notice a white film on the inside of the reactor yesterday when i got home.

Ok so some people are getting great results with these Pellets thats great ,can some of u post some before and after pics ? Im one of those people that have to see it to belive it :)

I have been using np biopellets in my new set up( 75g with 30g DIY sump), and they DO work pretty good. I only have Acros, acans, and chalices. A good skimmer is a must.
0 phosphates, 0 nitrates. Weekly water changes (5 gallons) with Brightwell salt.

Yes, they had a "bad batch" go out - just ensure the one's you have are the correct shape (easy to tell based on article).

You never change pellets, you add to them as they dissolve (are eaten).

That's right. You will need to add a couple of grams every month or so. And yes, I did get the good batch, not the one with the weird shape. You should try them, a lot of people are switching from zeo to bio.

.07 for an SPS tank is high enough to give issues... and the theory of "Svd" is sound... eliminates the need for all the silly "bacteria in a bottle" and "carbon in the water stream" products...

+1...I think i"SVD" is much more practical way of dosing carbon source than the traditional method...which I have tried. For me, I find that the traditional method is too unforgiving if you miss a couple days of dosing. Just my honest honest opinion.
