Hey y'all! I decided to document this tank here since I spend more time reading here than on there forums! This tank was just set up two days ago. It's the standard IM 25g lagoon, stand built by my dad. I'm waiting for the AI Hydra 26 HD to arrive, but that will hopefully be here shortly. Going for minimal rock work, and only have 11 lbs in here. Plan is for a ricordea and LPS intense tank, and I'll only be adding the nicest pieces. Pretty excited about this tank!

And the current tank- an IM 10g. I've been in the hobby for about 14 years, and still own my first fish who lives in my 40 gallon at my parents house. I was mostly out of the hobby for about 3 years until we bought this house and I was able to set up the 10g. Now I'm fully addicted again! This tank is packed full, and many of these corals will move into the 25g.

Nicely packed IM 10! What fish do you have in that?
I have a IM 10 too still at the garage waiting to be cleaned and possibly stock with couple of red macro algae.

Cool build. Really like the minimal scape and the choice of substrate.

It's definitely packed! There are no fish in this tank. Once I move most of corals out, I plan to pack in a bunch of euphyllia and add a pair of Onyx Picassos.

very nice...like the overhang style. Seems you like you going fishless for now on the lagoon?

I'll eventually add fish. It's only been up for 3 weeks, and I usually wait at least a few months before adding any fish. Slow and steady.

yes..steady and consistent. Seems the ricordea accumulated good so far.

btw how does the new light compare to A80 besides just more power and light spread? I have a 13G and considering same light months down the road once I get more corals in there.

I'm liking it! I'm still playing around with programming and the spectrum to get it where I like it. I really like the spectrum from the A80 (and so do my corals), so trying to match that as much as possible. Almost there! I don't know if I'd use it for a smaller tank though. It could easily be too much light. I have it only running at about 33% power and any more the corals don't open up. I can't imagine ever running it higher than 50% on this tank with LPS and softies.

Will keep that in mind as this may potentially being too much power. How high do you have the light from the water?

I am new to LED and so Kessil A80 has made it easy (only have to worry about spectrum and intensity). I really do not have the time to tinker with multiple color options that I am reading about on other LEDs. The Evo is 18.5" long so the light spread is a little thin on one end @5.5" above the water. My other option long term is get another A80 and be done with it....simple and easy.

New additions! I've been drooling over this hammer and finally decided to bring it home! And found the perfect tiny leopard wrasse. The 25 is not ready for fish yet so he's living in my 10g that is packed full of copepods for a couple of weeks before moving to the lagoon.

I like the look. Zoas and ricordea makes the garden of them look impressive long term imo. Would be curious if those zoas in the top close by the Setosa would like the flow that's required for the montipora.

I myself am looking to have a few easy + color montiporas once the tank settles in a little more. The color of the setosa looks vivid.

What filtration are you running? Did you upgrade the pump at all? Any powerheads?
