Unfortunately I haven't posted recently because what happened to most of my corals before happened again. Again, nothing showed in water parameters and things just started melting, starting again with the ricordea. I believe it must be a bacterial infection. So I've left the tank running for about a year with what I saved, and I'm starting to slowly stock it back up. I picked up a couple frogspawns and the spongodes this weekend from local reefers. I'm planning on purchasing a red sea 300xl sometime before summer and starting mostly over. I worry that this cycle of restock and infection will continue if I heavily stock this tank again.

I did save my gold torches and massive gold wall hammer, however they are living in the LFS's display tank for now. I'm too afraid to bring them home to this tank. They are happy and growing so much that I doubt they'd fit anyways! And it gives me a reason to get another tank ready for them.

A few more photos from today. I picked up a cleaner shrimp this weekend and he adds some nice personality to the tank. I started dosing aminos again now that the algae is gone and the corals are already coloring up nicely.

I went home to my parent's house on Friday to find my 10+ year old 40g milky white. Apparently my ancient and massive serpent star must have died and caused an ammonia spike. I was able to move quick enough that I didn't lose anything. The single fish in there, my 17 year old clownfish (my first fish!) seemed completely unfazed.

So since I was back and forth between the LFS, I picked up some new corals for this tank.

I think these are Purple Monsters, but they are lacking some color right now.

Since we are stuck inside for the foreseeable future I went into the basement and dug out my 20g Nuvo and another AI HD 26. I've put a few frags in it from my lagoon's frag rack since I can't sell those anytime soon. They seem happy. Used a couple small pieces of rock, some filtration and some water from the lagoon to set it up as well. I put the possum wrasse that was in the lagoon in here since he was getting bullied in there. Hopefully he'll be fine, but I'm prepare for a ammonia spike with some Prime and adding some live bacteria daily as well. I'm really happy with my scape. I had a small bucket of rock leftover from another tank breakdown in the basement and it was just enough!
