Colonial hydroids capable of stinging nearby coral. No predators to eat them but removal is a matter of starving them
Best starvation method is to direct water flow towards them, not at them to prevent food from reaching them. They will then thin out.
They favor brine shrimp

Yeet the snail, or see if you can isolate it in a qt tank to starve the hydroids.
Welp, shortly after making this post the snail crawled onto my Vortech pump and the hydroids were sucked in and then sprayed across the tank. Definitely not a solution but the initial problem, keep the snail or not, is no longer an issue ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
