Current status of the Tank[emoji4]
Finally!
So wait, this is a new build, but you are looking at a new tank. The new one would be additional, or an upgrade?

Well yes and your correct, that is the current debate. At least in my own head. The new tanks have had some very nice improvements. So I’m thinking about an upgrade/additional tank. Maybe a new 130 or something even bigger [emoji23][emoji41]
Nice!
I am almost never a fan of anything on the back glass, almost weekly I knock corals trying to scrape my narrow 18" wide tank. This I really love though. Not only does it look great but reading and looking at thought process / progress is also great. I am looking forward to seeing it as a full blown reef in the not too distant future.
When this Waterbox is filled up it’s gonna be [emoji91] [emoji91] [emoji91]!

If it is ever filled in....;Yuck ;Yuck ;Yuck....
What would you think of doing larger pieces on the back glass sliced from big pieces of dry pukani but leaving the front side of them natural not smooth cut?
Also, my 93 cube is going in a corner. What about doing two walls? Would you think it would look ok?
I am just at a dead end with scaping lately and want to try something different.
I think that larger pieces would look awesome, but might come with a little more difficulty of attachment. All things are possible and of course this would take some guts to do. Lol
Doing 2 walls would certainly still work I believe. Again this is something that you have to be at peace with. Once you’ve committed then you really can’t go back without a lot of labor. I will just refer you to my post and pictures. If this is “ the something different “ your looking for , then I say GO FOR IT!
I would lay the tank on it's back when attaching then switch to the side. That way the weight wouldn't be sliding downward.
I may cut a couple tester pieces and just lay it on it's back and look at them from on a ladder like I was looking at it standing up.
Thanks for the inspiration!
That’s a great idea about looking at it first. I didn’t attach mine on it’s back for a couple of reasons.
1. Weight.... I was afraid to strain the glass with the extra weight and then trying to stand the tank back into a vertical position.
2. Attachment.... I wasn’t positive if the rockwork would actually stay attached. I didn’t trust it and didn’t want anything to come unattached while moving the tank.
Your very welcome for the inspiration! That’s what this is all about! Thinking outside of the box/norm.
Technically, aren't we thinking "inside" the box?
I love that the 'rock' work extends up and out of the glass, as you said, nothing is straight in nature. Now for the sand and light! Yes time to tune and massage everything into place.
I continued with adding the sand and setting up my final lighting program!
I wouldn't try to kidnap anyone that may or may not be a marine lolololIf you were closer it wouldn't be negotiable, you'd be kidnapped.....lol
;Hilarious ;Hilarious ;Hilarious
That bottom up shot gives a whole new perspective on how sick this build is!
