All,

I'm looking at converting one of my PowerPoint lectures on fish diseases into a file here. I want to insert links to other threads and articles on R2R. Before I go too far down this rabbit hole, I wanted to ensure it will work.....

So, if I develop a PPT file with links, and then save it as a PDF, can I post that to either the forum or the library and still have working links?

Thanks,

Jay

Great idea! Would it be simple enough to build one “test” file with one link to see if it works before doing all that work ?

I don't know, but it seems like an easy thing to test.

Add a link to page one of a PPT, save it and see if it posts, and click the link.

I don't have my work computer any longer or else I would try it for you. HTH.

So - here is a test PPT from the file that I converted to a PDF.... it seems to work in Windows, but it's a bit clunky as you have to hit <ctrl> and click on the link, and then give it permission to open the link.

On iPhone it ask to download and links worked for me
macOS on MacBook worked similarly:
- PDF downloaded
- then can view PDF locally and click on link to access the (linked) R2R article

Don't know for sure but "think" you can convert/export to web document in PowerPoint then try to post that version instead,,, if you wanted the article viewable here in R2R directly.
*maybe something to test if you're feeling frisky

It didn’t seem to work on iOS and the new R2R app, but worked fine for me on iOS and the regular web site.
