ATI Powermodule Mod

Hi Just thought I would post a quick mod I did on my Powermodule hybrid. I believe the PMs have 90 degree reflectors and they crate a pretty strong hotspot IMO. I used a Dremel to cut a rectangle in the stock acrylic shield then used a DIY diffuser panel over the LEDs to tone down and disperse the output. I saw where some folks had removed the reflectors but I thought that may reduce their effectiveness too much. This is working out really well!

cool, and what is the light distribution in the tank?

The LEDS cover the entire tank. But I think they would have before but this mod makes them less harsh if that make sense. And, no spotlighting or disco at all. I am still getting a little shimmer when the T5s come on. I am very happy with it and glad I did the mod. I still have a strip of the diffuse panel about the same size left over if someone wants it.
