Led already out?
yes they are sending a new panelLed already out?
Yes i would since u have it open anything to make it run a bit cooler would help, although mine doesnt get that got to the touch but warm and the app shows on mine to run about 37 degrees c on average.
What are you using for tank mount? Setup looks clean!Just got the Kassray T120 in today via fedex. Did some quick par readings and it’s about what you should expect from a 120 watt light. Par was around 180 200 on the sanded and 280 to 320 at about 6 to 8 inches above the sandbed where my spa corals are mounted.
It was well packed and of course silent due to not having a fan. The app works pretty much like the A8se so I got it dialed in pretty quickly due to being familiar.

can you post a photo how you mount light on the tank with orphek kit? sorry already found your photo:)I bought one of these lights in september the kassray T169. Bought from alibaba for £330 including delivery. I also purchased an orphek universal tank mount to be able to mount the light on my tank. The built quality looked really good and the app is excellent and easy to use. Comes with a meanwell power supply that is silent and also the light is silent as expected as no fans. The light is mounted 8" above the tank and i run it full spectrum for 6 hours so all channels at max but intensity set at 54% which gives me around 350-400par at the top of my aquascape. Then 6 hours with blues and uv at 67% and green/red and white set at 24% and this gives me roughly the same par out put at 350-400 par.(Using parwise to test output) Temp of light on the app never gets above 37 degrees C so runs pretty cool. Spread across the tank is good and even. So far brilliant light and no issues with it. Hopefully it will last.
No noise at allSome people said they are noisy?
Got a wall? You can do like bookshelf or TV wall brackets.I just ordered 2 x T215. Im racking my brain to figure out to mount them as Im opposed to doing the length wise rail. Id like to find a way to go back of tank but apparently the lights are really heavy.
I’m currently 3d printing 2040 wall mounts and was going to try to use 50lb drywall anchors as there is a back wall I can use.Got a wall? You can do like bookshelf or TV wall brackets.
There are brackets that bolt to the stand as well.
How is the app on these once you change the language settings and connect the wi fi? Does the app have default profiles for SPS and is easy to customize schedules?Lights arrived today and I got right to work!
After downloading the app and setting the language to English and converting the time zone to PST I started messing with the configurations.
The sunrise/sunset controls are first gen reefbreeder-esk style inputs. Basically you go hour by hour and configure your channels.
I used a mock of the radiant color setting in Möbius. The colors pop in this setting!
Coverage is crazy! Minimal shadowing and the corals have already responded positively with polyp extension.
I had to turn it down to 40 percent and it’s still bright.
This is the stock 2020 bracket it comes with but I’m currently working on setting up wall mounted rails that hang over the tank.
I’m not certain on the engineering but hopefully it holds.
I 3D printed 2040 brackets out of PETG-CF and used 4 x 100lb drywall anchors.
The light weighs 18 pounds and is beefy so hopefully I don’t have to update that the bracket failed.
As of now I love these lights.
I’ll update again once I get them up in the wall brackets.
I am very happy with the spectrum. The corals havent skipped a beat and have had positive responses to these lights. The coverage is insane! Im currently running them at 40 percent but may need to back the down to 30-35 percent.Looks pretty neat! Those are a good size light. Are you happy with the spectrum?
