The lighting manufacturers in China have come out with a clone of the ATI Straton line. I purchased two of the light modeled after the Starln Pro G2 102. Pricing is significantly cheaper and the build quality is super impressive. I won’t be able to fully test the light since ATI is sold out of their star rail mounting hardware. I did confirm that the Kassray is fully comparable with the star rail since I purchased the mounting kit from ATI but am waiting for the cross rails to come back into stock.

Below are some pictures:

As expected the one challenge is the app that supports the device is only in Chinese. I was nonetheless able to download the app from the Apple App Store, connect to the light via Bluetooth, and connect the light to my WiFi network. I will use a translator app to do the lighting schedule setup later.

Below are pictures from the app.

I understand that the Kassray LEDs are CREE imported from the USA and part of ATI's structural parts are purchased in China through Würth in Germany.

I believe these "clones" are no difference to the ATI version except the app.

Reef Tax remember.

I am super interested to see how these perform par wise and misc!

Of note, while exterior looks similar, I notice that the reflectors are clearly different than the ATIs (Kassray are scalloped while ATI is smooth).

It also looks like the LED arrangement for Kassray vs G2 Straton is different as well for each individual bank of light. The kassray seems to have less whites and more greens at first glance. The arrangement also doesn't seem to correspond with the G1 Stratons either.

Do you have the Kassray ATI Straton clones? How are they working for you so far?

I love ATI products. I just bought 48" ATI 8 light T5. I can't afford 2 Stratons.

I do not have the Kassray. I learned about it 10 days ago. I did download the app to see how difficult it would be to use.

When setting up my login, it asks for you to select your area ( China +86, UK +44, US +1 etc). I select +1 then you have to enter your phone # to receive a verification code. I have not been able to get a response back. Please let me know if you are able to get this to respond.

I beg to differ actually that the reflectors are clearly different than the ATIs. The pictures are not comparable and certainly not like for like.

The Kassray reflectors are described as "newly upgraded condenser lens" and "no need for lens hood" and they have a image referencing this on ali.

LED arrangements may differ, I haven't compared them to be fair.

Minor tweaks make a lot of difference in legality scenarios.

I imagine, either way, its a good light.

Longevity is always an unknown.

I guess when I said they are different, I wasn’t casting judgement. Just observing that they aren’t direct clones. I’m hoping to learn more about them too.
