There is a good chance that was your issue. Those boards do only operate on the 2.4ghz frequency. However, this is a conflict with inoperable software.I am not a computer person, but i know what they told me, which fixed the problem. I can try to attach the emails. They went as far as to ship me new wifi boards to replace the old ones, but i ended up not needing them.
Don't know what to tell you. Another reefer had the same issue and they pulled out an old Android phone to get it working..
hi, i used to have the aqdim3 app and worked flowlesly but it was pulled out from the appstore, so i downloaded de Aquarium Light app, this new app does not seem to find the light, even putting it as access point or conecting it to my router.
i can connect to the the light ip address and see all parameters, so the wifi card in the light is working ok, it is just the app does not seem to find it,
I contacted manufacturer and was told i have to replace wifi card in the light as new app does not support it.
I find that difficult to believe as i can find it with a computer.
any comment, or anyone who can connect using the new Aquarium Light app and can show the ip parameters?

YepYes 'IF" it's like some other Chinese software only certain versions of Android work...re: tablets
Phones.. ??? various "os's" in phones work w/ stuff or don't work w/ stuff.. Kind of a cr@p shoot..

anyone who is succeding connecting to any app, can show light settings? they are shown going to 192.168.1.254 in any web browser.
I would like to see which port and which ip is the app connecting to.

Hi Figaro! can you please try to browse with google chrome or safari 192.168.1.254 or the ip you are connecting to and take a snapshot of the configuration? thank you!!!didnt work on my phone so i just installed app on older phone and it find light immediately (2.4Ghz router-didnt config anything special, aquarium light app)

i had problems with second light but i am not aware of solution because it was combination of reseting wifi on lights, removing passwords from router and looking reactions on mobile app etc.
After all combinations i entered router wifi password in mobile app and that last time it worked.It recognized new light and first one.
