Indeed many great shots like the last few POTMs its getting harder to chose a winner!
Great discussion about the vote as it's always difficult to decide or.to give more leverage to photographic quality/topic/subject....
For instance with this month topic reef in your tank, topic would dictate a hazy picture ( you can't shoot still in the ocean, bit of shallower DOF to hide pumps wires and other equipment, even the glass wouldn't show, lighting would be a bit on the dim side and water not necessarily clear.... all of those opposing the quality of a "good" picture so what do u levrage on !
I always am reluctant to discuss pictures or choices while the vote is ongoing to avoid affecting votes and we tried ti have discussion after the pitm.vote thread bit those threads never had traction. So appreciate feedback on how do u think we can all agree maybe on a critique or grading scheme for pictures in the POTM. Pruning pics down to 15 finalists has become impossible (we have 22 finalists this month :)
Voting for a single picture which I always aim for has become impossible.....

And with all that vent I think.it all boils.dpwn to all.of us honing our photography skills which is one.of the main purposes of this subforum and Competition.
So thanks all for your contributions and may the best picture win.

It was a very tough vote. Obviously some people have the skills or camera to make their tank shine in photos. This precludes me from ever entering one of these...lol Great job to everyone!

222 is a lot of entries to shuffle through.

It's supposed to be fun, so don't let the task be too worrisome because at the end of the day a few nice pictures get highlighted and one gets chosen, end of story.
