Winner will be determined by this R2R Member voting by poll. In order to be eligible to have votes counted in the poll, voting members must have at least 25 meaningful posts and have been a member of R2R for at least 1 month by the time the poll ends (votes that do not meet this criteria may show in the poll but will be disregarded in the final count). In case of a tie, Team R2R will assist in picking a winner. Rules, deadlines and terms are subject to change at staff discretion at anytime.

some of these could be awesome tanks like 20, but the pics are so zoomed in i cant see the rest of the tank. and then there is number 3 which could be an awesome tank but the pic quality itself isnt that good. pic quality makes a HUGE difference. the proof is in this poll. People are voting 22 a better tank than 21. which is bonkers. just because its a better pic, it looks more impressive. but the tank itself in 21 is way more diverse, way more expensive, way more difficult to maintain, and has YEARS of growth. 21 should be in the lead but its not.

People are voting 22 a better tank than 21. which is bonkers. just because its a better pic, it looks more impressive. but the tank itself in 21 is way more diverse, way more expensive, way more difficult to maintain, and has YEARS of growth. 21 should be in the lead but its not.

This is a common difficulty in these contests. People vote for the pretty fish, their favorite coral, or their mom's tank and it is impossible problem to fix.

Interestingly enough, this month I voted for what is currently the most popular image, a rare occurrence in the many POTM polls I have participated in. It's all supposed to be for fun so I have abandoned all hope of the particular rules being followed in the voting aspect and just enjoy the amazing talents of the photographers.

As others have said, these are photo contests. Composition, creativity, color, technical ability, and how close the photo hits the brief are the kinds of qualities you need to judge. How nice the tank is has nothing to do with it.
