Aussie or Indo torch preference?

So I keep hearing horror stories about Aussie torches. They say they only last 4 to 6 months, etc.

Whats up with Aussie? Why they so hard to keep?

if I remember correctly, the aussie torches are found by rivers with a tremendous amount of flow and nutrients 24/7 and slightly brackish water. could be wrong but I am pretty sure this is why they are considered so difficult
