We're continuing our theme for the week discussing dosing, dosing methods, dosing equipment etc. Today let's talk about dosing containers and share photos of what we're using!

do you have a build log for this? would love to mimic this for my build!

to answer the OP...i don't have dosing containers, per se...i manually dose so everything is individually bottled (reef moonshiner method)

I use a variety. Some are made for dosing. Others are just food grade containers I have repurposed.

I use some Mr chili mixing jugs and all for reef containers with holes drilled in the cap for a dosing line. And I have some glass gallon containers that I have installed dripper kits onto for kalk.

Right now I’m hand dosing Kent Products. I use Graduated Cylinders, marked for various tanks, with a fine paint marker. I used to use glass ones, but was too clumsy with them, now use Plastic. From time to time I clean them with vinegar. I built a Wood Dowel rack for them to dry over my laundry sink.

I have a cheapo dosing container for my all for reef from Amazon and a 5 gallon bucket for Kalkwasser behind my tank. So I put other because I use both!

If it’s hidden, any container is a great way to save some money over a custom acrylic dosing container.

Half gallon and one gallon milk jugs. Perfect size. Punch holes in the plastic lid, one for the tubing, one to prevent vacuum from forming. Works perfect. rectangular shape provides a smaller footprint than round jugs.

My alk and calc containers are cereal containers that hold 1 gallon, and were purchased from WalMart. I prefer these because I can see the liquid level right through the side and they have a wide opening in the top to make refilling easy with no spills. DIY NOPOX is just using the vodka bottle. Simply change out the bottle when it is needed.
