My lavender duncan cost 5$ for a single head. Its grown about another 8 in 3 months or so.
Whoa nice, i paid more than that for the one i have, but not too surprising since the pandemic is kind of upping the price on online orders.

The prices vary from location to location (LFS). Also keep in mind that they do come in different shades and growth types. So, $20 is a typical price, any lower and you got yourself a good or great price. Don't second guess your purchase, all that matters is that you enjoy it.
On the feeding, since I feed pellets, each head gets at least 1 pellet each feeding, which is at least twice a week.

Congrats on getting this coral!
it’s one of my favorite and one of my oldest coral in my tank!
I started with 3 head frag about 7-8 years ago and now it’s easy 100 heads and still growing nicely!

I'll have to get some pellets for sure. Not just for it but for the other creatures in my tank too. Thank you for the info and i do enjoy my little coral. I can't wait to see it grow.

That's one monster Duncan colony.
Next coral you might want to play with Opalmoon, is a fat head Dendro.
Pretty much the same care requirements as your Duncan.
I didn’t see it for sale recently.
