Bad Apex jr

Recently I bought a used apex Jr from another member at a great price. I know I know.. You get what you paid for.
The problem is every time the internet wire/ cat 6 gets bump, it shut off. I have to wiggle the cable to get the power back on.
Any idea what's the problem?

bad cable? corrosion?

If it was a bad internet cable I would think apex unit wouldn't get any internet connection not completely lose power.
