dang man! I understand that. About a year ago went fishing with the wife and father in-law. The father in-laws, handmade w/ initials in it, wedding present ended up in Tera Ceia Bay (right below Tampa). Can't get a new one, it was made 28 years ago and the guy who made it is now dead. That was a bad day.

i threw my scooby doo rod in one time but since then no bad luck
sorry to here about the rod take a big breath and go for it

I wish my grandpa still made rods. he used to make all his own rod, reels and lures. Very nice work. I should call him and tell him to double up on the arthritis meds and get to making me one for my b-day.

13.5 feet is nothing ! Throw a snorkeling mask and get to work ! I'm sure a mask, fins, snorkel would cost much less than a new rod. Good luck !

How did it go down ? Big fish ?

Shoot I have a funny fishing story. I was fishing off a dock. I had my pole leaning on the railing and some kid ran by and knocked it into the lake. A year later I guy had thought he caught something big becasue it was bending his pole LOL. When he realed it up it was my fishing pole! I was hey you caught a nice fishing pole there pal! As it came out of the water I was like holy crap that is my pole I lost last year! I was surprised that the reel wasn't all rusted and stuff. The pole and reel works just as if they were brand new now.

I was fishing once off our boat when i caught the rod tip of 1 of my rods on the deck. which flipped it into the water. we were sitting in about 10 feet of water. I put on one of my deep diving crank baits and ran it along the bottom. Making sure it was banging the bottom. 3 casts later i hooked my rod.

Done that as well, but I also let an anchor go. We had just bought a new anchor and wanted to give it a try. I was the lucky one to be putting the anchor in the water with my fiance telling me to give the rope slack. I gave the rope slack all the way into the water. Now that was not a good day.

My dad and I where fishing on the local Nuclear cooling pond. We both screwed up. I was in charge of the trolling moter and he was taking care of the anchor. We had been fishing the same spot for alittle over a hour and decided to change location. We pull the pulls in and he takes off. After about 20seconds we realize there water coming over the bow of the boat. Then I notice the trolling moter is down in the water. He stopes I pull it up...the proppeller had spun off. =( We take off again. He notices that the boat is kind of going slower than it should. Looks behind us and notices a crazy extra wake. Then suddenly realized he never pulled up the anchor. That was a screwed up day. Lucky we did not snag anything with the anchor.

Was there beer involved?
