I hate to have to post a bad experince with a fellow hobbyist. But I feel it should be known to others. I had talked to Robie (ROBZ) about buying some of his high end sps frags. He assured me he was very experienced with shipping and he guaranteed live arrival. He said he has never had any losses with his shipping method. So we talked and I agreed to buy some frags from him. We agreed for him to cut the frags let them heal for a week before shipping. which turned into 2 weeks. And that he would use a ice pack since the temps were over 100 deg. The week he was suppose to ship he contacted me saying he would not be able to ship. He had some Dr.s appts to take his wife to. So we agreed for him to ship the following week. I reminded him again about using a ice pack. He shipped the frags with no ice pack and they all arrived RTN'd. I contacted Robie to let him know and he said he was sorry and that it was no problem he would reship me some more frags and that he would use a ice pack. He asked me to pay the shipping. I paid him again for the shipping. And I was looking forward to getting these frags alive. This time the frags were packed in a 8x8x8 shipping box with the ice pack ( a very large ice pack!) at the bottom of the box. The ice pack was way too big for this size box. The frags were placed on top of the ice pack with only a white trash bag between them. The frags all arrived RTN'd again. The water temp was 59 degs! . Robie asked for pics of proof that the frags were dead (RTN'd) so I took the pics and emailed them to him.
Robie told me no problem he was very sorry and that he would take care of it. And that I would receive my frags and no worries. So I waited a week to see when he would ship again. He finally replied after 3 or 4 emails saying he was at the beach for 10 days and would be in touch when he returned. So I waited and never heard back from him. So I started sending him emails and waited for a reply as to when he would ship my frags. I didn't heard anything from him. I sent 5 or 6 emails and got no reply to any of them. So I decided to call him and got his voice mail. And left a message telling him I really would like to get the frags that I had paid for or my money back. He returned my call. I asked if he had received any of my emails over the past few weeks and he said he had not. He said when he tried to call me he could not get in touch with me. He had my home phone w/ answering system and my cell phone number which has voice mail also. He never left me any messages and was not on my caller ID. I don't believe Robie tried to get in touch with me. He claimed he tried to email me and that he could not, that it was returned to him. I found this strange as well since he had emailed me at the same email address when we talked about selling me frags and shipping and when they arrived RTN"d. He also stated that he thought since he had not heard from me that all was well, and that I was happy??? Now how can I be happy and all be well when I have spent close to $500 in frags and shipping and have no frags to show for it?
So I asked him when would he ship me some more frags that I would like to get them. And he told me that he was not going to ship them until after his wife had the baby and they both were home and doing well.That everything was put on hold until then.
I don't feel that Robie (ROBZ) is doing the right thing by me making me wait on him to ship them when or if he decides to. I sent him the money for these frags almost 2 mos ago. All this started in June. And I still don't have my frags or my money returned.
I try to always give everyone a chance to prove themselves. But I think Robie (ROBZ) has no intentions to ship me any frags. Or to return my money. I sent him another email requesting my money refunded back. And I have not heard anything from him.
So I felt I needed to post about this experience so others will know. So Robie I hope you'll do the right thing and send me the frags as promised or send me a refund. Thats the only fair thing for you to do. So please contact me and lets get this worked out.
