Bashsea Skimmers

My understanding is that Bashsea NO longer provides gate valves with their skimmers. How can then you adjust them?. Makes no sense. For the price of the skimmer They should provide appropriate gates valve. Anyone use them without the gate valves? How do they skim? Thanks

IMHO I won't buy a skimmer unless there's parts being made and sold if anything ever needs replacing.

I emailed Steve Bashi and he was gracious to reply, Said where he was getting the valves No longer available. Now has preset level. That is iffy for me So Bashsea is out of the running for me.
