Bashsea Sump Damage?

Just received my 60” Bashsea SS-60 Signature Series sump and there are two dents/marks between the filter sock holes. They look like damage to me, but now I’m second guessing because the stock photo appears to have a mark in the exact same location. Any thoughts? Last photo is the stock photo.

Poor quality control, but as long as they dents (and not holes) they shouldn't affect performance.

That part is not needed for the integrity of the sump, but it does take away from the aesthetics. I agree, poor quality control. Call them and maybe you can get a 10% refund for “scratch & dent”.

im pretty sure that's where they injected the plastic into the mold, and put their logo there to make it look better.

Oh my gosh! It does look like their logo. In my defense, they look slightly different from each other and almost like damage. I already emailed the dealer about it. Will be interested to see how they reply!

Are you referring to the two marks on the acrylic that look exactly like the "fish heads" from their logo?

Thats weird as I have this very sump and mine dont have the fish logos
