EXACTLY

I actually have 2 that I bought before I knew any better. So far I’ve replaced one of the guts with a LiPo battery and have the other on the to-do list.

Since then I’ve also added an Ecoflow for my return pump that will kick in automatically if the power goes out (with a brief delay).
Good call. I am likely to get a power station instead for wifi and internet anyway. Plus the Apex so I can continue controlling things.

The anker suggested early (had a Best Buy link) is also a good suggestion. It works the same way, has a few more features but slightly less run time. Also 30$ more for anker but longer warranty

I have an Anker but have not tested this but it has been reported that the Anker will not turn back on when the power is restored if the battery is drained down and it shuts off.

I keep my home wifi, network, phone, and led lamp on a battery back up.

And

I keep my homes tankless water heater on one. If I have an outage in cold, I have infinite hot water that I can put in bottles to float in the tank. That water also goes through a home water filtration system that is essentially stage 1 and 2 from a rodi

Isnt it if the tank is bigger you wouldnt need to run a heater for some amount of time before it would start to get bothersome?

Its more of flow importance right?

I'm fairly interested in the SeeDevil 2000 for $600, but it's really difficult to find anyone else who has purchased one. It's also hard to find anything about that company at all

They are new to the battery market but are an established US company that specializes in extremely bright outdoor work lights and off grid products.

I have a niche hobby / interest in battery backups and battery tech, I came across the SeeDevil products in December and bought the 1132wh. An impressive amount of power for (at the time) $319
The day after I bought it, the price increased to $400

After using it for a few weeks, I like it, and I bought the 2100wh

So, you think the price is actually incorrect on Amazon or they are just trying to get their product out there?

They aren’t selling it. Well they are. But not for this price

It’s sold by a distributor, “jacks small engine” on Amazon and they are the ones that i think has the incorrect price, or they got a heck of a deal on them

When I bought my 1100, it was sold by jacks small engine. $350 and they had a $30 coupon. So $320 for a 1100wh power station. Unbelievable price. I took a gamble and bought it.

The next day, the price was higher, $500 and the seller changed to SeeDevil direct. Then it went back to being Jacks small engine, but for $400

I tested it over 2 weeks. It’s power and runtime surpassed my 300, 600, and a 1000wh unit I have. I ran it against runtime calculations. It matched my predictions. My conclusion - it’s a legit 1100wh. And, I like the way it’s built, the layout, the screen…it’s a solid unit with no gimmicks or unnecessary features.

Amazon will always default to the seller with the best prices. My guess is Jack got a deal on a bunch, or has them listed incorrect.

The 2100wh is for sale, on the SeeDevil site, for $1800 (after a 10% coupon)

But on Amazon, Jack has them for $600. My guess is when Jack runs out, or catches on, the price will go up

Honestly if your wanting portable power station I would go spend some time reading this forum - https://diysolarforum.com/threads/ecoflow-4patriot-power-stations.36282/ That is just one thread about a power station but there are LOTS of options and you will find inexpensive alternatives or additional DIY options that have LOTS more power for much less price like the one sunchsine_eggo listed - https://www.bluettipower.com/products/bluetti-ac200p-2000wh-2000w-portable-power-station

Most all of these power stations are running LiFePo4 batteries, Lithium Iron Phosphate battery cells to make 12v, 24v etc...they have been dropping in price for awhile although who knows what is going to happen with tariffs in the future. I would also look up Will Prowse who runs that forum but also has a ton of YT video's going over power stations and DIY options - https://www.youtube.com/c/WillProwse/videos

Not saying the one above is a bad options but there are lots of options out there and many for much less. I will say this depending on where you are at least for me in the winter 100w heaters churn through the batteries pretty quickly, batteries are more short term unless you have a solar panel feeding them, but you really want to have short term and long term options covered and then you have to decide if you want it available automatically or manual..comes at a price etc...

If you want simplicity plug and play:

Look for any power station that has the "UPS" feature.

I use ecoflow river 3's. I just plug everything into it and then its plugged into the wall. If the power goes out it switches from AC to DC. If your have more power demanding needs. You should factor that in. I can get away with it for several hours before I need the generator to kick on.

The river 3 plus version has 3x more juice as well for additional needs. That or again look for other brands.
Yes danner mags are old. tech. I had "L1" pump cost 5x as much and crap out hard after 1 year. Perhaps others are better but not thrilled by experience.

Why by a device when all you do is supply 24V by a relay switch? It is useless tech that a relay switch does for 5 bucks.

I dont know what you are talking about with that link. I’m fully familiar with diy route but prefer a all in one product for a clean look. and the prices have been coming down over the last few years where diy advantage is not as significant as it was a few years ago.

Your link to the Bluetti is a 2000 wh unit for a sale price of $1100

I posted and recommended a 2132 wh unit for $600

Here is a year old review of the ecoflow delta 2 - again lots of options out there...

Ecoflow delta 2
$700 but has a 200 coupon, so $500
1024 wh, with 1800w inverter

SeeDevil 2131wh, 2000w inverter
$600

Only 100$ more for DOUBLE the runtime and a stronger inverter.

I’ve been in this market for years. There is nothing that beats the SeeDevil for cost per watt hour. Their comparable model that’s 1132 wh is $400, which is 20% less money and more runtime than the delta 2

There are lots of options. Some good some bad. I am saving people the time to hunt for the best deal

Hate to see people spend more and get less…happens all the time

I see what’s happening the forum is turning the word Amazon into a hyperlink to Amazon

That’s not the link. It’s just the forum sending to an affiliate site because it recognizes the name

I have two of these. One on the tank which can my return, powerheads, cameras and Apex and automatically comes on when the power goes out. I also have a second one on my internet/wifi equipment so I can still monitor things remotely if the power is out. This gives me time to keep things running while I fire up my generator if power outage is long term.

Yeah wonder if the seedevil is using lithium ion or lithium iron phosphate, they state on the page that its Lion and that would be a deal breaker for me, LiFePo4 is safer imho but again lots of options to chose from.

Just looked at the website and it does appear to be using Lion cells vs LifePo4 so really not an apples to apples comparison to the EcoFlow that I listed. Not saying its a bad unit etc, just have to know what you are looking for and what battery tech that you are most comfortable going with, thats just my opinion. I will not have a lithium ion of that size in my house but again that is just me, I believe LiFePo4 offers about the same level of output, more cycles although bigger footprint but safer chemistry. Again, my opinion, make sure you research and understand the differences.

Yeah thats traditonal UPS with sla batteries they work but just do not provide long runtimes and I do not believe being sla the batteries will last as long.
