wonder what I'm missing with mine, I'll have the photo up tomorrow but I really havn't gotten much growth out of it, barely even any encrusting, though with that said it is encrusting. Meanwhile, other frags I got from the same battle box are doing pretty well.

Here’s a pic from last week. I keep thinking I’ll take a better one, but running out of time, so this is my November update.

Triton results will be uploaded here in a few days.
The last 2.5 weeks have been rough for my tank. All my kids and grandkids stayed at my house for thanksgiving which really lowered my pH and really reduced my coral growth and health. Alk starts to swing when that happens so I had to chase doing and eventually cut my dosing in half. Now that everyone’s gone things are back to normal, but I can definitely see coral tissue is thinner and PE is stillless across all my coral. Here’s some data to show what happened. Everyone arrived in the 16th and left on the 24th. My entry pic is from the 24th. We will see over the next 2 to 3 weeks what impact this has on coral health. Figures crossed.

Normal pH is 8.25 to 8.45, changed to 8.0 to 8.3. Lower and swinging more
Normal Alk is 7.4 to 7.8, changed to 7.2 to 8.4. Higher and swinging

I sure wish I knew how to get more than 1 week on the graph.

Just making sure, I can glue my frag to the rock at any point right? Or needs to stay where it is. I switched over to halide and it’s not lighting the back side of the frag (angle I take my pic) so starting to die.

Its interesting to see different coral frags, all purchased at the same time and placed in the tank in the same area have different growth rates. My snipes frag hasn't done much, where as the paletta is encrusting pretty nicely, even fighting back against the zoa's that are trying to take over.

Here it is today. The left branch is starting some upward growth:)

Here's another shot. I'll need to clip a branch off the Forest Fire Digi soon. It's heading right for my Space Laser frag, which is barely visible behind the little Lemon Hammer colony that's starting to take off.

Are those JF Crybabies by chance? I just had to eradicate a large colony of JF crybabies that look just like those that started to grow over anything in their path. They sure are pretty though.

They are. Seemed to slow their growth once I turned up the intensity a bit. Their polyp size got way smaller too. All of JF's zoa's seem to grow like weeds and do that!

Oh that's good. Lol yeah, I'm scared to order anymore from him since I'm 2 for 2 now on weed paly type "zoas". Same with the mohican sun "zoas" for me. Had to eradicate those as well.

Back to snipes blue... :)

Just wanted to share a little macro of my frag. I'm no @bubbaque when it comes to photography skills so if you guys want to correct the WB, it's fine by me :) I hope everyone's doing good and happy Friday!

Looking at some of the entries this month there are a couple that are really taking off.
Looks to be between you and bubba. Im sure I missed a couple. You didn't need any help from the lowered ruler and different camera angle. Lol.

I'm running hard as I can to catch you guys. I'm gonna baste it with some of this wombat urine see what happens.

I feel mine is growing well, but I also definitely feel behind bubba. I'm in it for the fun, not so much to win. It's gonna be fun in a few more months to look at all the entries and see how they evolved. This is an awesome experiment to see all the different ways the same coral can evolve!

Thanks so much to bubba for starting + organizing this.

p.s. I ordered 3-4 other corals from Adam. All doing fine, but none are growing as fast as the sniper either. So sniper was a fun choice
